HOST A SCREENING
Frank Lloyd Wright grew up believing in community and wanted his buildings to reflect the people who used them. In that same spirit, we are launching a national “Host a Screening Campaign" to bring the film to communities and local organizations across the country. We’ve created a screening tool kit so any local organization, community center, or congregation can easily plan and set up their screening. We want to inspire communities to engage a lively conversation with members, share the film to strengthen your message or complement other programs. We are happy to offer a discounted price to enable all groups to see the film based on usage and audience size.
The screening kit includes:
Helpful tips to plan your screening
A DVD or streaming link
Performance license to publicly exhibit the film
Discussion guide
Helpful Tips:
Determine your goals, think about how the screening can benefit your organization. Do you want to inspire members, celebrate Wright’s work, learn about preservation, establish coalitions with other partners or organizations.
Decide on a date and who you would like to invite.
Plan your event format. If it is possible to have a safely distanced screening, then book the space and projecting equipment if necessary. If you want to have a virtual screening, you will use your streaming link and offer your audience the link to view the film at their convenience.
If you want to host a discussion and you do not have the space to do it safely in person, then you can create a discussion where the whole community can join in on ZOOM.
Promote the screening to your membership or community members through email and social media.
Add Enhancements like a keynote speaker or local historian or architectural scholar, collaborate with other organizations, invite the filmmaker to speak (contact page here on website)
